Ze Roberto Poised For Manchester City Switch

With Bayern Munich seemingly refusing to offer him any more than a one-year deal at the Allianz Arena, Brazilian midfielder Ze Roberto looks set to become the next purchase at Manchester City as Mark Hughes looks to spend his huge transfer kitty.

At 34, the Bavarians consider it unwise to offer Ze Roberto any more that a 12 month extension especially as Mark van Bommel at 32 was only given a one year deal.

“I will decide things in the coming days” Ze Roberto told Munich’s TZ newspaper.

“High up on my list is the interest from Manchester City. They want to be in Europe and they want me to help them achieve that.

“Also two Bundesliga clubs are interested in me. One of them has even offered me a three-year contract. There are also clubs from Saudi Arabia and the United States, who have shown an interest” he added.

The talented Brazilian it seems is spoilt for choice.

Kasper Schmeichel Frustrated In Attempts To Leave Manchester City On Loan

The latest comments by Kasper Schmeichel's agent seem to suggest that the goalkeeper is growing ever more frustrated by his situation at Manchester City.

After a brief run in the team under Sven-Goran Eriksson, Peter Schmeichel's son has fallen firmly in the Sky Blues' pecking order behind Joe Hart and current first-choice Shay Given.

The former Denmark Under-21 international is desperate for playing time and looks to be pining for a loan move, but it is becoming increasingly apparent that City want to keep him around as an emergency option.

“We are working to find a solution so that he may be able to play some games. There is interest in Kasper, and there have been several offers, but they were rejected by Manchester City,” agent Mads Frederiksen told Swedish publication Bold.

“He has a contract with City, so we are a little hesitant about what will happen.

“We talk regularly with City, so it may be that something happens within a short space of time, but it may also be that nothing happens."

The 22-year-old was limited to a lone substitute appearance in the league this past season, and just two cup starts.
